Who the hell does this kinda crap anyway?

That would me me. My name is Guillaume Plante, hence the guy named "Guy". I was born 20 years ago (soon to be 21) in Loretteville, Quebec, Canada and still live there, even though my hometown was recently fused with Quebec City along with a few more suburbs to become a MONSTER CITY. Yeah, I speak French.

I study in Graphic Design. I will get my diploma in December (about friggin' time!) after which I'll try to work as a graphic designer (duh!) for either Web or print, or as an illustrator. Basically, this site is as much for my enjoyment (and yours, I hope) as it is for keeping my skills sharp...

Oh and if you really want to know, YES I am single and NO, I'm not obsessed with sperm.

What the hell does «Cabotinage» mean, anyway?!

Ooooh good one! Basically, «cabotinage» is French for «hamming». You know, that thing Jeremy Irons did in «Dungeons & Dragons». The term is also used in improvisation contests; it is a penalty when someone makes a joke to get a cheap laugh from the public; it generally is of a scatological nature. I just thought it fits with the script, whatcha think?!

How the hell do you do the strip?!

Very badly.

Oh you mean how do I get it from my hand to your screen?! Well I don't buy Bristol boards as the big players do, so I do my layout on a pad of Bond paper using a non-photo blue pencil. Then I do the inking (again, very badly) using a 0.3 or 0.5 Pilot drawing pen. I scan the inked comic as 600 dpi line art then I turn the bitmap into vectors using Adobe Streamline.

I touch up the layout in Illustrator, I also use it for lettering. After that I put color in Photoshop, nothing complicated, basically I use the paint bucket, magic wand and brush...

Finally I optimize the file using ImageReady and voilà! A new strip, fresh out of the oven.

Has anyone actually asked these questions?

Nope. Wise ass. If you ask me a good question, I guess I will put it here too.
